BENTORNATI IN EGITTO TURISTI! - TOURISTS WELCOME BACK TO EGYPT!

Buongiorno,
Desidero rivolgermi a voi con questa lettera per rispondere alle tante domande giuntemi sulle condizioni dell’Egitto ora e sulla possibilità di viaggiare qui.
Sono stata al Cairo fino a ieri e da oggi di ritorno a Dahab, dunque ho avuto la possibilità di verificare l’atmosfera generale del Paese. Bene, le mie conclusioni sono queste:
questo è un Paese nuovo. Le persone non sono mai state tanto felici di lavorare quanto ora, perché per la prima volta sentono questa terra come propria. Stanno desiderando ardentemente nuovi visitatori, per servirli con passione e mostrare loro questo nuovo Egitto. L’ospitalità araba non è mai stata tanto sentita come oggi, se ciò è possibile. Ho persino aperto un blog in italiano, che aggiorno dal 25.1 quotidianamente, per raccontare le cose che i mass-media non dicono (http://www.rivoluzionando.wordpress.com/). Sono stata più volte in Tahrir Square e posso garantirvi che non vi sentirete mai tanto benvenuti come in questo momento storico, perché se gli egiziani vi vedono qui, vi ringrazieranno di continuo come han fatto con me. In un momento di crisi, alcuni di loro mi hanno regalato tè, acqua o frutta proibendomi di pagarli. Di conseguenza, non solo vi dico che il Sinai è per voi adesso sicuro al 100%, ma vi consiglio anche di andare a vedere la Piazza Tahrir al Cairo, perché si tratta di un’esperienza storica, commovente e molto umana. E le foto fatte in un frangente del genere rimarranno per sempre con voi nel vostro bagaglio di ricordi di viaggio.
Inoltre, due giorni fa si è svolta una grande festa a Sharm El Sheikh per l’apertura della nuova stagione turistica. Tutto è aperto, frutta e verdura arrivano a Sharm e a Dahab regolarmente, hotel e piscine sono aperti per voi e per i vostri bambini, dallo scorso fine settimana sono arrivati nuovi turisti e aumenteranno in vista della prossima alta stagione (attorno a Pasqua). Tutti i voli stanno riaprendo tra fine febbraio e inizio marzo.
Vi aspettiamo dunque a Dahab per rendere la vostra vacanza indimenticabile – e di nuovo, non scordate di visitare il Cairo e il resto di questo meraviglioso Paese se ne avete la possibilità.

Good morning,
I want to address you this general letter in order to answer the many questions I'm receiving from Europe about the conditions of Egypt and the possibility to travel here.
I have been in Cairo till yesterday and back in Dahab from today again, so I had the possibility to see the general atmosphere of the country. Well, my conclusion in this:
this is a new country. People were never as happy to work as now, because for the first time they feel this land as theirs. They are craving for visitors to come, they feel like working for them with passion, showing them a new Egypt. Arabs’ hospitality is now even stronger than usual, if this is possible. I've even opened a blog in Italian, updating it every single day since the 25.1 in order to explain home things that the mass-media don't say. I was also in Tahrir Square several times and I can assure to you that you would never feel as welcome as in this historical moment, because if Egyptians see you here, they will thank you all the time as they did with me these days. In a moment of crisis, some of them have even given me tea, water or fruits without wanting any money. As a consequence, I don’t only tell you that Sinai is for you 100% safe, but I also suggest you to go and see Tahrir Square in Cairo, because this is a historical, touchy and very human experience. And the pictures you can take here after the recent revolution will stay in your precious travel memories forever.

Besides, two days ago there was a huge party in Sharm El Sheikh for the opening of a new tourist season.
Everything is open, fruits and vegetables are regularly arriving to Sharm and Dahab, all hotels and pools are open for you and your children, new tourists have arrived from last week-end and they are increasing as we approach the next high season (Easter). All flights are opening again between the end of February and beginning of March.
We wait for you in Dahab to make your holiday unforgettable – and again, don’t forget to visit Cairo and the rest of this marvelous country if you have the chance.
